FINN’S GIRL (DVD MOVIE)
Dr. Finn Jeffries plays a new stepmother to her deceased lover’s daughter Zelly. She also took over her lover’s abortion clinic that is being protested by increasingly violent “pro-lifer’s”. The movie covers, teenage angst, death threats, abortion issues and love. Dr. Finn spends her days running an abortion clinic—the one founded by her late partner, Nancy. The work is intense, relentless and dangerous. It spreads thin her emotions and attentions, including the care of Zelly. A bit of a latchkey kid, Zelly longs for the mother she lost as well as the one who remains, but who is woefully out of touch.

My Rating: 3 ½ stars. The layers and levels of drama in this film can at times feel exhausting and somewhat over the top. Isn’t life as a lesbian dramatic enough? The story line does provide redemption as well as moments of real passion and lust.

This film not only presents an original story but it engages us on many levels-something rare in many films today. I for one, not only welcome new ways of looking at the world through film but wholeheartedly support filmmakers who dare to show honesty and who work outside the box.

Finally a decent Lesbian Film
Ordered Finn’s girl and finally I get a good decent lesbian movie. Yeah of course some of the actualization was off but the film was done very well. Good film.
